What causes stretch marks?
There are numerous reasons why scars or stretchmarks may appear. Sudden gain in weight or increase in muscle mass are some of the primary causes. While there are no related health risks associated with scarring, they are quite unappealing and unpopular. Stretch marks occur due to stretching of the dermis (skin). This dermis layer of the skin is the elastic middle layer. When the area of the body is stretched, like the arms or shoulders, the connective tissue is broken. The result is inflammation which heals in the formation of a scar.
Weightlifting is one of the most popular method to build muscle mass. Since weights are liberally used in most strength training regimes, the increase in the muscles is rapid and the skin is not able to regenerate in time. The resultant effect is tearing and undue stretching of the skin. The scars that are left behind are visible in the shapes of stretch marks, usually on the shoulders or arms.
Intensive Stretch Mark Treatment
The Dr. Max Powers Stretch Mark Intensive Treatment was designed to specially target those who are regularly involved in lifting heavy weight and prone to shoulder and upper / lower arm stretch marks. The cream works in two ways to deal with these stretch marks. The first is to reduce the present stretch marks by adding moisture to the skin to allow the skin to regenerate newer skin cells that will eventually replce the damaged (stretched) tissue. The second is to prevent any future stretch marks on the skin due to further lifting by adding elasticity in the skin layer to avoid this overstretching in the first place. Prevention of stretch marks is CRITICAL in their management.
Prevention of Stretch Marks is Recommended
The Stretch Mark Intensive Treatment is formulated in a special way to deal with this loss of skin elasticity. It gives the body many essential vitamins and nutrients which the skin needs to regenerate. The effect of these supplemental nutrients is to encourage skin elasticity and collagen. As the skin layer is reinforced with collagen and elasticity, the stretch marks are visibly reduced in appearance. The major effect of this enhancement of elasticity is the prevention of any future scarring. Since the skin is elastic, it is better equipped to deal with the future increase in muscles mass and will neither get torn nor scarred.
Weightlifting is the perfect way to build core muscle strength and mass. The benefits of heavy weightlifting are diverse and numerous. The only associated drawback is the stretch marks which can impart an unpleasant look to the skin. This Stretch Mark cream will rejuvenate the skin with the necessary nutrients and prevent and future stretch marks from scarring the skin in the upper arm and shoulder areas.
