How Does the Scar Serum Work?

On of the key ingredients in the Scar Serum is rosehip seed oil, which is well known for its ability to treat scar tissue. Rosehips have been proven to regenerate tissue in healing scars, whether they are surgical or traumatic scars. A scar needs to be in a moist environment to promote healing, which is why the serum includes additional botanicals to keep a moisture layer over the scar; to protect it and keep the moist environment during healing. This makes for a soothing / effect that allows the polyunsaturated fatty acids (vitamin F) to convert cellular membranes and promote tissue regeneration.

In many studies, rosehip seed oil and other botanicals were found to be "effective on surgical scars" when applied twice daily. The skin became more elastic and had added color complexion benefits. The same results were found with patients who used the serum on burns, since it was able to reduce the scarring and return the tissue color back to its normal state and coloring.

The formula included a more potent form of several ingredients in the serum, with the addition of vitamins of A, B, C and E. Now, the serum can be used as a daily facial moisturizer for those with sensitive skin.

The formula has also added two new ingredients, which are DMAE and MSM.

DMAE is found in foods and creates an almost immediate appearance in the firming and tone of the skin. DMAE is an amazing nutrient that extends the life of cells, inhibits the cross linking of proteins.

MSM, or Methylsulfonylmethane, is a naturally occurring nutrient found in many foods and is therefore found in the normal human diet. MSM supplies sulfur to the body which allows it to heal itself.

After continued use of the Scar Serum, users can expect new skin cells to form over the scar. An important ingredient in this phase of healing is the collagen in the serum, which supports the protein and connective tissue in your skin. Works with new and old scars from surgery, injury, burn scars, and acne scars.
